Join Us|Hiring: Finance Manager (Frankfurt Preferred) As our finance team continues to grow, Nanolite Foundation is seeking a talented and driven Finance Manager, ideally based in our Frankfurt office. We are expanding our finance team and are looking for a talented Finance Manager to join us—ideally based in our Frankfurt office. In this role, you will:

Take the lead on all financial matters related to financing rounds and valuations for our portfolio companies.

Support complex transactions, model capitalisation tables, and ensure everything aligns with our standards and stakeholder expectations.

Act as a trusted partner to both internal teams and external stakeholders, keeping processes smooth and communication clear.
Your responsibilities will include:

Partnering closely with our Investment and Legal teams during financing rounds, serving as a sparring partner and financial expert.

Contributing to the negotiation and structuring of financing rounds, bringing a sharp financial perspective to the table.

Owning the modelling and maintenance of high-quality capitalisation tables, ensuring they’re always up-to-date and accurate for our portfolio.

Acting as the main point of contact for all finance-related topics around funding rounds, collaborating with portfolio companies and external partners.

Supporting the financial side of exits, ESOPs, and related transactions.

Leading valuation processes in line with EVCA/IPEV guidelines and assisting with impairment assessments, including coordination with auditors.

Preparing insightful financial reports and analyses for both internal and external stakeholders.

Working cross-functionally with teams across investment, legal, accounting, and tax, as well as with outside advisors.
Job requirements
What we’re looking for:

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s is a plus).

Solid experience working with capitalisation tables and structuring financing rounds.

A strong background in venture capital, private equity, or a closely related field, or the drive to apply your experience in a similar environment.

At least five years of experience in a finance-focused role with comparable responsibilities.

Professional fluency in both German and English so that you can operate confidently in both local and international contexts.

Exceptional attention to detail and a reputation for diligence and reliability.

Strong contract-reading skills, with the ability to interpret terms and ensure proper execution.

Advanced Excel skills and a track record of building and working with complex financial models.

Ideally, knowledge of German and U.S. tax law, or a keen interest in developing this expertise.
